Short on time? Looking to impress? This recipe is for you! It easily doubles for sharing with all your favorite people.
1 1/2 C. Walnut Halves
1/4 C. Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup
Preheat a small skillet over medium-high heat. This is important so the syrup caramelizes properly.
When you can feel heat rising from the skillet, add the walnuts, followed by the syrup.
Stir constantly, 5-8 minutes till there is no liquid left in the skillet.
That was fun! Want to take these nuts on a little adventure? Stir in a pinch of black pepper or cayenne to the syrup before adding it to the skillet. Does sea salt caramel make you drool? Toss a little Kosher salt in the mix. The only limit is your imagination!
